Choose Your Own Extinction

scream beg
in terror in pain in silence
as we
choke vomit grieve rage
powerless impotent hearts breaking thoughts boiling judging you
because of the
ash death loss destruction
from the
wildfires droughts heat
ravaging killing
the only world we have.
And
do something
before those who erred before our children, blameless
die
